Though finding out pop art, the young artists had been tasked with producing their own Dagwood Sandwich, an impossibly tall multi-layered sandwich with odd elements from the common comedian strip Blondie.
To start with, they each individual concluded two sandwich sketches with at minimum 12 ingredients, one particular of which copied an current Dagwood structure and the other which includes substances of their picking out. Right after exchanging responses on each other’s work, they painted their selected design and style.
Next, came a collaborative ceramic sandwich. Each and every college student signed up to make just one ceramic component, and they had been assembled together to make 18-inch sculptures to be displayed in the media heart.
