Stemming from an strategy to give a lot more Pirate pleasure to the varsity boys locker room, a few Crookston Superior School basketball players approached Industrial Tech instructor Travis Oliver to see what could be completed and from that came new tailor made tops for all the benches. Jack Garmen, Hayden Michaelson and Eliott Bartrum assisted generate the benches by cutting, signing up for, “biscuiting” and sanding them.
“The learners decided on maple for the benches,” Oliver spelled out. “Then they resolved on a few epoxy types to place in the bench tops. We experienced to mix up the epoxy, color it and pour it. The moment it was dry we had to sand and polish it. To complete it off, they took off the outdated benches and set up the new types.”
“I imagine they are performing a terrific job so far and the locker room appears to be much much better with the new benches,” he added. “They have set in a large amount of tough do the job and the benches will be all over for a long time.”
