EXIRA — The Xmas year is finding underway in Exira, the place the Xmas Tree Lights Celebration will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4 starting at 5 p.m. in the Exira Event Heart.
Starting up at 5 p.m. they will be serving soup until it’s gone. Varieties contain chili, taco soup, cheddar broccoli soup, and rooster noodle soup, with sandwiches and bars.
Be all set for a take a look at from Santa at about 5:30 p.m.
There will be hayrack rides.
Lighted hayrack rides will give rides all around town to see all the contributors of the decorating contest.
This year’s contest involved a few types — Most like Clark Griswold Most like a Hallmark film and Kid’s Alternative. Voting will be completed by voting packing containers all over city beginning on Dec. 4. Remember to make only a person vote per working day, and children in grades fifth and under really should only vote on Kid’s Selection. The winners will be declared Dec. 13, and prizes will go to the winner of each and every class.
The big tree lights will be at 7 p.m. Look at it out, alongside with the show of trees in the Celebration Center.
A very hot cocoa bar will be set up and the lounge will be open up.
Obtaining that significant tree and environment it up is not just like placing up the tree in your dwelling room.
This year’s tree was donated by Chris Fredericksen from Elk Horn and it arrived on Wednesday.
A crew aided get the tree to Exira, get it standing upright and decorating it.
Matt Mills aided by chopping the tree down. Clark Ahrenholtz utilized his tractor to get the tree loaded, and Steve Most effective supplied a truck and trailer to haul the tree from Elk Horn to Exira.
Austin Rasmussen also got many thanks from the Local community Club for “his quick ft and slender profile to get the tree securely strapped down.”
The Community Club thanked Tony Youthful, Kent Schlater, Tom Hill, Kyle Lauritsen, Evan Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Mike Huegerich, Chase Petersen, Alex Kornischuk, Nathan Wahlert, Brett Christensen and Paul Kautzky. Sophie Kitelinger helped out by placing lights on the trees at the event middle.
