NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday arrested ES Ranganathan, Director (Internet marketing) of the Gas Authority of India (GAIL) and five other people in an alleged bribery case.

“We have recovered all-around Rs 1.29 crores hard cash and gold jewellery well worth Rs 1.30 crores for the duration of searches at the premises of GAIL Director. The arrested accused to be created in advance of the court,” said a senior CBI official.

The CBI has submitted a bribery case versus Ranganathan on Saturday and raids had been performed.
