Rusty and River Fields, two brothers born and elevated in Brooklyn, have began the first hacker residence for young Black tech entrepreneurs. 

The property, nicknamed “R-House”, delivers tech enthusiasts together to live and operate along with each individual other for 4 weeks as they create their own World-wide-web-3. startups. 

Hacker houses are preferred in urban tech hubs like San Francisco, but the Fields brothers wanted to address the racial barrier with their hacker home. 

“Black builders, they face special problems when they go to launch corporations,” explained Rusty Fields, who graduated from College of Pennsylvania with a neuroscience degree. “We truly desired to build the place and working experience for them to develop deep and genuine interactions for them to get the job done jointly and actually leverage the energy of collaboration and local community.” 

The to start with and next flooring of the residence are set up as co-working spaces, where they also host speakers and functions.  

The initially pilot program finishes up coming 7 days with a pitch competitors, and the top rated 3 winners of the levels of competition will share a $25,000 expense for their startups.
