Blowing Rock Hosting a Weekend Total of Christmas Exciting Friday and Saturday

Blowing Rock’s conventional Christmas celebrations are back again this weekend with loads of fun on Friday and Saturday. 

Just about every calendar year on the Friday soon after Thanksgiving, Blowing Rock invitations residents and readers to appear out and be a portion of the Lighting of the City on Friday adopted by the annual Xmas Parade on Saturday. 

Events commence at midday on Friday with a chance to get your photo produced with Santa Clause until eventually 3 p.m. Carnival online games in Memorial Park start at 1:30 p.m. and will final till 4 p.m. Stay music begins at 2 p.m. and will continue on via 6:30 p.m. 

The major occasion of the evening will be the Lights of the City at 5:30 p.m. All functions will be held at Memorial Park. 

Cost-free Parking is readily available on Maple Road and in the parking decks by the Blowing Rock Art & Record Museum and the American Legion on Wallingford Road. Much more parking is obtainable at Davant Field on Clark Street, linked to downtown by way of a walking path by way of Broyhill Park.

On Saturday, the once-a-year Xmas Parade will start at 10 a.m. on Most important Avenue. As a reminder, Major Street will be shut to parking from midnight the evening in advance of right until the parade has ended. Given that there is no parking out there on Principal Avenue for the parade, a complimentary shuttle support will run from the parking large amount at Tanger Outlet to Primary Street, commencing at 8 a.m. The shuttle will operate continually until 5 p.m.
