HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – With winter temperature on the way, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is asking motorists to stay clear of getting on the roadways during the storm.
VDOT reported the area, which include I-81, has terrain with steep grades that can improve the hazardous nature of journey all through a winter weather conditions celebration.
The VDOT Staunton District suggests crews pretreated roads on Friday and crews will be prepositioned on Sunday to commence plowing and managing roadways when the snow starts. Wreckers have been staged and tree crews have been notified for deployment as essential.

Road condition definitions:
