BOSTON (AP) — A break in a 20-inch (51-centimeter) h2o principal in Boston early Monday despatched h2o hurrying down a metropolis road, formed a sinkhole that swallowed a vehicle, and flooded place basements, metropolis officials mentioned.
The burst pipe in the city’s South Stop was claimed at about 3:30 a.m., according to the Boston Water and Sewer Fee. The h2o key is about 150 several years old, but was up to date in the 1970s, the commission explained.
