AUBURN GRESHAM —A healthy living heart bringing dining places, a lender, a pharmacy and much more to Auburn Gresham will open up in the drop following construction was delayed.

The Balanced Lifestyle Hub, 839 W. 79th St., will host a ribbon-chopping ceremony Sept. 29, stated Carlos Nelson, director of the Increased Auburn Gresham Advancement Corporation. 

The hub was previously scheduled to open up July 29, but “supply chain delays in preparing for the ribbon slicing slowed things down,” Nelson claimed. 

The Auburn Gresham group will also host a “huge grand opening” on Nov. 11 for neighbors, Nelson explained. Hollywood-type spotlights will beam on neighbors as they arrive, food items will be accessible and people can tour the healthy hub. 

“We want anyone to appear out and make it their dwelling,” Nelson stated. “It’s going to be the functions of all parties.”

The Wholesome Life-style Hub received the $10 million Pritzker Traubert Foundation’s Chicago Prize in 2020 and gained $4 million from the city’s Invest South/West plan.
