Atlanta prosecutor: Gang specific celebrities, influencers | Way of living

ATLANTA (AP) — A prosecutor on Monday announced a sprawling indictment concentrating on users of what she reported is a violent road gang that has been focusing on the Atlanta area properties of popular athletes, entertainers and many others who flaunt costly belongings on social media.

Singer Mariah Carey, Marlo Hampton of “The True Housewives of Atlanta,” Atlanta United player Brad Guzan and the Atlanta Falcons’ Calvin Ridley all had their properties damaged into, the indictment suggests. The 220-count indictment was filed Aug. 22 and prices 26 men and women, most of whom are accused of violating Georgia’s anti-gang and racketeering legislation.

Fulton County District Lawyer Fani Willis stated the crimes alleged in the indictment — carjacking, kidnapping, armed robbery, shootings, home invasions — ended up dedicated by users of the Drug Loaded gang, which she said started to arise in 2016 in a neighboring county. In addition to the celeb targets, social media influencers were being also victimized in house invasions and burglaries, Willis stated.
