Ashland’s Donna Messerly, 81, retains MWCD summer camps active and enjoyment

“We are generating a mess, and we are great at what we do,” quipped Joyce Chaney, who camps and functions at Charles Mill.

Other jobs included balloon paint splatter, fizzing foam paint, slime creating and footprint artwork — the latter to be completed by dipping ft into paint and going for walks and jumping on a roll of butcher paper.

Camp director desires up tips to preserve young children active while having entertaining

Messerly, 81, is hardly a newbie when it will come to wondering up enjoyment items to do for youngsters and adults.

“I taught university for 50 years,” mentioned Messerly, of Ashland, who grew up in Martin’s Ferry.

She was a professor at Ashland University for 4 a long time. Her classes have integrated tailored actual physical schooling, in which she gained her Ph.D., and sports sciences. She also has worked with kids as a volunteer at St. Edward University in Ashland.
