Alpine County is recommending residents to steer clear of journey tonight as a winter season storm eases into the jap Sierra.
In an emergency warn issued at 3:47 p.m., the county is planning for a wintertime storm warning with the brunt developing until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Forecasters are predicting up to 6 inches of rain in Minden overnight, starting off all-around 7 p.m. when it turns from rain to snow.
The forecast for tonight is for .7 inches of rain by midnight, so the snow will be slipping on wet floor if it arrives.
Breezy situations introduced patches of blue sky on Monday, but also about a 3rd of an inch of rain to Genoa by 4 p.m.
