Dr Dani was addressing a push conference on Friday along with Italy-centered interventional cardiologist Dr Antonio Colombo, who was in Ahmedabad conducting a workshop on drug-coated balloon strategy for percutaneous coronary intervention. Noting that metallic stents are used indiscriminately now, Dr Dani pointed out that a disadvantage of stents, including drug eluting stents (DES), is that they induce arteries to shed some of its features in subsequent a long time.
