ATLANTA — Three of Atlanta’s major highways were being shut down because of to a series of crashes on just one of the largest journey days of the year Sunday early morning.

Close to 4 a.m., a wreck involving 4 vehicles shut down all lanes of I-85 NB at Hwy. 316 in Gwinnett County. Targeted traffic was diverted for various hours. Lanes have due to the fact reopened.

All over 6:30, a car fireplace shut down all lanes of I-20 EB at MLK Jr. Dr. in Atlanta.
An additional crash around 7 a.m. shut down all lanes of I-285 at Lavista Rd. in DeKalb County.
It’s unclear if anybody was injured in any of the crashes.
