In the hunt for the greatest truthful foodstuff, the Texas State Fair has announced its 10 Big Tex Choice Award finalists for 2022, according to a press release. 

Some of the savory finalists contain a deep-fried BLT, lasagna roll and charcuterie board, when the sweet finalists selection from deep-fried rocky street with blue bell ice cream to the peanut butter paradise — a deep-fried honey bun injected with caramel, topped with creamy peanut butter and layered with Reese’s Parts, crushed Butterfingers, peanut butter cups, drizzled caramel and powdered sugar. 

The finalists include things like 5 sweet and 5 savory finalists, with three winners established to be crowned on Aug. 28 in the classes of “Best Taste — Savory,” “Best Style — Sweet” and “Most Resourceful,” in accordance to a push release. 

This year’s State Truthful is set to kick off on Sept. 30 and operate by means of Oct. 23.
